I discovered my love of firearms a
little bit later in life. I started shooting and training on a regular basis in
2009. As I started on my training journey I quickly realized there was much
more to gun ownership than I anticipated. I really enjoyed training and found
myself registering and attending Rochester Personal Defense, LLC training courses as fast as they were scheduled.
As I started to acquire the "winning mindset" I thought it was important to have more than just firearm skills, Self defense and retention training followed. Somewhere along the line I purchased my first AR-15 and enjoy shooting the rifle just as much as the pistol. Both my sons are also interested in firearms and I thought the best way to teach them was to become a firearms instructor myself, I became an NRA certified Instructor in 2010 to make sure I was bringing them up the right way. I soon realized that I really enjoyed teaching and pursued an instructor position with Rochester Personal Defense, LLC.
