Pistol Permit Pre-licensing Safety Class
If you are going through the process to obtain a permit in New York State or a Non Resident type permit for another state, this is the class for you! Safety is the main goal of the lecture, but you will also learn about the differing laws and regulations regarding your permit, the mindset and attitude that each and every firearms owner should have, safe use and storage of your firearm, and more. At the completion of the class, you will be issued a certificate and a letter of completion to submit to the licensing office. The class lasts 4-5 hours and costs $55.00 per participant.

Utah Non Resident Pistol Permit Class
The Utah State permit offers you reciprocity with 28 states. It's almost as good a Florida, so why not get one?
Rochester Personal Defense has an instructor on staff that is certified to teach the approved Utah State curriculum. The class will cover all of the legalities, use of force, and other required subjects to help you obtain your permit.

A guide for family personal safety
Our family is the most valuable thing we can be around.
Why not learn what you can do to help protect them?
This highly informative lecture will cover things you can do to increase the safety and security of your home, be safer when you are driving or walking, and other tips and ideas on what you can do to increase your safety at work or school. You will also learn how to create a planned response should your family become threatened.
Other topics include ideas on how to become more aware of your surroundings, what to do if you feel threatened, and how you can recognize and minimize a situation before it escalates into a personal safety issue.

Concealed Carry of Defensive Firearms Seminar
Dave Jenkins, the founder of Rochester Personal Defense will be exploring some of the myths and other details surrounding the whole concept of concealed carry or CCW.
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Why concealed carry is allowed and important.
- Where you can or cannot carry.
- When you should tell an officer if you are carrying.
- What gun would be best to carry.
- Advantages and disadvantages to differing methods of carry.
- What you should do when you think you are in a situation.
- What your legal rights and responsibilities are when you are carrying.

Self Defense 101: an introduction to your personal safety
This course will feature a lecture that gives the attendee information on how to begin or increase your awareness of your world. Topics will cover:
- Awareness levels
- Mindset
- Body language
- Tactical positioning
- Safety at home, at work, in your car, at the bus stop, in the street, and more.
Tips on dealing with these situations will be discussed. This class can be tailored to each individual group by request.
Cost: $10 per person. Fee will be credited if participant takes the Basic Self Defense class in the future.
