Ladies: Do you want to learn how to shoot a handgun but don't know where to go to learn? Does your husband/boyfriend/significant other have a firearm or pistol in the home that you do not know how to use? Do you want to see how much fun the shooting sports can be?

No one should be without the knowledge, skills, and attitude that it takes to safely own a handgun. The National Rifle Association's Basic Pistol course is designed for those of you who want to start learning how to shoot. There is no need for any prior experience to participate, although more experienced shooters have taken the class and ended up learning some very valuable skills.

Come train with the area's first and most successful Ladies Firearms Training team. There are other places out there that have "Ladies or Women's only" type classes, but you should come and see why our instructors have that certain approach that makes us the top trainers and educators in the area. This course is taught by competent, fully certified, experienced instructors who love their work. They all know the importance of starting out right; and they all want to help you build a solid foundation so that you will be able to fully enjoy the shooting sports for a long time.

We all know that there are certain things that spouses or significant others should not teach each other or discuss, right? They usually include: driving lessons, politics, wallpapering or painting, and firearms. Why not come out and learn from some easy-going, approachable, competent, friendly, and non-testosterone charged instructors?

Learning to handle a pistol is one of the most satisfying, and empowering things that you can do.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is a two-part course consisting of an e-learning portion (completed online-in your own timeframe) and a hands-on practical portion conducted at a range under the guidance and supervision of an NRA-Certified Instructor. The course is intended for all adults regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.

Some of the topics in the course include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting, and pistol inspection and maintenance. When you enroll in the online course, you create a personal identification number (PIN). When you successfully complete the course, printing your certificate activates that PIN. The activated PIN allows you to register for the instructor-led training portion of the course. Go to https://onlinetraining.nra.org/online-courses/nra-basics-of-pistol-shooting-course
