For those of you that are looking to increase your tactics skills, here is an easy class to attend that will give you more confidence. This class will be performed with Simunitions, airsoft pistols, or dummy guns. You should have at least a basic level knowledge of your firearm, and be very comfortable with its use.

Subjects Covered:

This part lecture, part skills class will cover such topics as:

Pie'ing corners

movement (through rooms, hallways, etc)

stairs

dealing with doors and hallways

retention position while moving/searching

reloading covertly

family details

suspect interdiction/control

contact and interaction with emergency personnel

and actions with investigating officers.

Required Equipment:

Eye protection
An inert dummy gun
An Airsoft type handgun (optional)
A good, reliable holster
A flashlight
Comfortable street type clothing or range appropriate clothing and footwear

(for airsoft work, thicker or loose fitting pants, sweatshirts, and padded gloves are recommended)

Prerequisites:

You must have a solid working knowledge of the fundamental safety rules and be comfortable and safe with your handgun
