PLEASE NOTE: This is an ongoing program. The classes run on Thursday evenings from 7-8 pm. The sessions begin on May 31and will continue every Thursday for 12 weeks.

You are not able to 'jump in' in the middle of the series due to safety and logistical issues. Plan on starting at the beginning.

 Krav Maga is a self defense system that was developed in Israel in the mid 1930s by a man named Imi Lichtenfeld. His goal was to create a simple and effective method of self defense that could be applied to real life situations. The techniques in Krav Maga were created using a blend of different art forms, among which include; boxing, Muay Thai, Jui-Jitsu, wrestling and grappling techniques.

The philosophy of Krav Maga emphasizes threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. Krav Maga is a simple and effective style of defense training that works for all ages and abilities.

Required Equipment:
  • Comfortable clothing (jeans or sweats), T shirt or sweatshirt, and sneakers. NO HARD SOLED FOOTWEAR

  • Groin protection

  • No high heels, sandals, flip flops, or hard-soled shoes.

  • You will be working in close proximity with others, so good grooming (Brush your teeth and use deodorant!)and appropriate, comfortable, loose fitting clothing is required.
